Mackerel Sky
Coronado, California
Recent travels had kept me away from a spate of amazing sunsets in Coronado. Finally, with a chance to be on the beach, I went early in hopes of something special. Mother Nature didn't disappoint, and she came through in an unusual way by creating a beautiful scene ahead of the impending sunset. Sparkling ripples of water reflected the brightness of overhead clouds in the deep blue sky. A follower on my site called these clouds a Mackrel Sky, and so it is! A beautiful Coronado evening.
