With a full moon set to rise at the ideal time for a photograph I decided on a location which had been in my mind for some while. Arriving at the spot early I had time to reflect on the amazing environment around me. A cool evening breeze lightly touched the surface of the bay. Pelicans dotted the sky as joggers, bikers, families, and romantic couples traveled along the water's edge without a care. Right on cue the golden moon appeared behind the skyline and slowly climbed into a darkening sky. The blue Belt of Venus gave way to the pinks of a sun-lit atmosphere above, creating a magnificent backdrop for our beautiful city. How fortunate we are! -Dan McGeorge
