Artist's Description
Namche Bazar is a bustling village high in the Himalayas on the challenging trail to Mount Everest. It was here I stopped for two days in order to acclimatize, getting used to the thin air at such high altitudes. A full moon had risen above the village and it glowed through dramatic high clouds that were moving swiftly over the top of the steep mountains into which Namche is nestled. It is a waypoint along the trek and the last enclave of any size before striking upwards towards small teahouses and lodges that provide shelter and supplies along the way. - Dan McGeorge
