Winter on the Farm
Julian, California

Snow was forecast for the mountains of San Diego that would follow a bit of rain. With any luck the fresh snow would stick to trees and structures so I set out for a drive to find a beautiful mountain scene. Luck was on my side as the countryside was blanketed in a fresh layer of white snow. Rounding a corner of the road the scene in this photograph came into view. The gently falling snow accentuated the striking look of the old barn, its fences layered in white, and its weathered exterior dotted with the white flecks that floated to the ground. - Dan Mcgeorge
