Artist's Description

Springtime
Jacksonville, Oregon

This stand of trees has captivated me for years. When in Southern Oregon I drive by them everyday on my way into the Oregon Gallery. It is the three willow trees that always seem to catch my eye, but recently two other trees beside them had sprouted a gorgeous bloom. The problem has always been background distractions, but on this day the distant hills were shaded by overhead clouds. The trees were brightly lit by a blazing sun. It was the scene I had been waiting for, so with a quick u-turn and some good luck there it was.
