Rolling Waves
Coyote Buttes, Arizona
Nature has a way of creating beauty in the most unlikely locations. Hidden in the secluded deserts of Northern Arizona this remarkable combination of swirls, slopes, and depressions join together in an artistic array of abstract form. Originally created by the runoff of rare rains this Navajo Sandstone is now almost exclusively sculpted gracefully by the force of regional winds. It is difficult to access, with many natural and regulatory barriers in the way. To finally stand there, viewing first hand the stunning sight I had seen only in photographs, was overwhelming. To be able to create my own photographic interpretation of this natural wonder was beyond words. - Dan McGeorge
