Coronado, California
Fall and winter bring opportunities for marvelous sunsets along the Southern California coastline. Conditions prevail to allow for high clouds, a relatively clear horizon and the passing of storms. After seeing several evenings of beauty one after another I watched during an early afternoon as potential for another spectacular sunset began to develop. Off to the beach I went to a favorite spot, finding the tide surf and sky as perfect as imaginable. The rest involved waiting, watching, and at a crucial moment when even hungry seagulls cooperated, pressing the shutter release. Gotta love it! -Dan McGeorge
