Barn Storming

An iconic abandoned barn rested on a plot of land dotted seasonally with pumpkin plants. I had driven by it for years, and though it was interesting the exact moment of light and weather never occurred to make me stop and photograph it. One morning after a winter's snowfall the moment materialized. The pumpkins were gone, and the textures of the scene told me "Black and White. - Dan McGeorge
