A beautiful lake sits high in the Applegate Valley of Southern Oregon. This time of year snow still capped the rugged peaks south of the lakes, and late in the day it could be a beautiful scene. It could be. Every night for 5 nights in a row made the hour drive out to a vantage point overlooking the water and waited in the cold. Each attempt involved an hour of waiting, and each time I returned home just in time for bed. Finally an evening arrived graced with billowing clouds and blue sky above. Ok, I thought. That'll do!
