Artist's Description

Village of Joy
Guizhou, China

High in the remote mountains of South West China this picturesque village of the Minority Dong People provides a quiet calm respite, far from the maddening crowd. Entering the village across its welcoming Wind and Rain Bridge visitors step into a world not unlike it was centuries ago. A sweet and charming people live in close proximity to each other in homes where meals are still cooked over wood fires and laundry done by bare feet churning in tubs of soapy water. To wander the quiet narrow stone pathways within the village was a magical journey back in time. - Dan McGeorge
