Brooding clouds, an opening to the sky at the distant horizon, low tide, and seagulls. What a great combination for a potential moment of magic. As nature's color began to develop I moved forward as close as possible and set my tripod on the wet sand to compose, and then wait. Gradually this amazing scene unfolded. Then, as if on cue, surf rushed forward causing gulls to fly and sandpipers to scurry, creating an extraordinary moment of magic. - Dan McGeorge
