Artist's Description
Pastel skies and swirling seas frame the beautiful Hotel Del Coronado in the early morning. Two months of planning, waiting, checking weather, tides, and surf came together on this exciting morning. With no one but an occasional beach comber around I waited in the chilling morning air for exactly the right moment to arrive. A slow shutter speed produced the wonderful texture in the surf and waves while the proper exposure with just the right light allowed for the beautiful sky to be captured all in the same image. I was happy it worked out!
