Artist's Description

Radiant
Coronado, California

Gathering clouds drew me down to the beach at sunset. If an opening in them occurred at the right moment, in the right place, the possibility existed of a striking sunset. Finding a location that allowed me to compose a compelling scene, I waited. Everything had to be correct. The movement of water between rugged rocks, the flow of the surf line along the sand, the clarity of Point Loma in the distance, all needed to come together at once. Then, when golden shafts of light radiated from the concealed setting sun, it happened. Simple as that. -Dan McGeorge
